Yes — completely free, forever. All 8 tools are available without creating an account, without a free trial period, and without a credit card. We may introduce optional paid features in the future, but the core calculators will always be free.

Do I need to create an account?

No account required. Open any tool and start using it immediately. If you want to save calculator configurations across sessions, we use your browser's localStorage — no server, no signup.

Is my pricing data private?

Accepted Answer

100%. Every calculation happens entirely in your browser. Your selling prices, product configurations, and business numbers never leave your device. We don't have a server that receives or stores any of this. This is by architectural design, not just policy.

How accurate are the fee calculations?

Accepted Answer

Very accurate for US-based sellers using standard Etsy Payments. We update fee structures within 24 hours of any platform announcement. International sellers may see slightly different payment processing rates — we note this where applicable. The base production costs are sourced directly from provider pricing pages and updated regularly.

How often are provider prices updated?

Accepted Answer

We check provider prices monthly and update immediately when we see changes. Prices shown are standard rates — they don't include negotiated enterprise pricing. Plan discounts (Printful Growth, Printify Premium, Gelato+) are reflected when you select a plan in the calculator.

Which Etsy fee rate does PODMargin use?

We use the current standard US rates: $0.20 listing fee, 6.5% transaction fee, 3% + $0.25 payment processing fee. Offsite Ads (12% or 15% depending on your annual revenue) is optional in the Etsy Fee Calculator. We don't include shipping or tax, as those vary.

Can I use this for Amazon Merch or Redbubble?

The main Margin Calculator supports Etsy, Shopify, Amazon, and Own Website as sales channels. For Amazon, we use a 15% referral fee as a proxy (varies by category). Redbubble and TeePublic use royalty models that work differently — we're building a dedicated royalty calculator for those platforms.

T-Shirts, Hoodies, Mugs, Posters, Tote Bags, Phone Cases, and Pillows — covering the 7 most popular POD product categories. Providers covered: Printful, Printify, Gelato, SPOD, and Gooten. We're adding more products and providers regularly.

Question 9

How does Reverse Pricing Mode work?

Instead of entering a selling price and seeing profit, you enter your target margin percentage (e.g. 35%) and the calculator shows you the minimum selling price you need to charge for each provider to achieve that margin — after all provider and channel fees are accounted for.

How does Annual View Mode work?

Accepted Answer

You enter your selling price and expected monthly sales volume. Annual View calculates per-unit profit, monthly net profit, and full-year projected profit for every provider — side by side. Great for business planning, goal-setting, and deciding whether a product line is worth continuing.

The Seasonal Calendar says I need to upload by a specific date — is that right?

Upload deadlines in the calendar are estimates based on typical print-on-demand production and shipping windows. They're conservative — we'd rather you upload 2 days early than 2 days late. Always verify with your specific provider's holiday deadline announcements, as they vary by product and destination country.
