Our Commitment
Chayaani is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people of all abilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying relevant accessibility standards to make our tools and content as inclusive as possible.
Standards We Follow
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, and neurological disabilities.
Accessibility Features
- Keyboard navigation — all interactive elements (buttons, links, form inputs, dropdowns) are accessible via keyboard
- Dark mode — a built-in dark theme reduces eye strain and improves readability in low-light environments
- Semantic HTML — proper heading hierarchy, landmark regions, and ARIA labels help screen readers navigate our pages
- Responsive design — all pages adapt to different screen sizes and work well on mobile, tablet, and desktop devices
- Color contrast — text and interactive elements meet WCAG AA contrast ratio requirements
- Focus indicators — visible focus outlines help keyboard users identify their current position on the page
Known Limitations
While we strive for full accessibility, some areas may have limitations. Our calculators involve complex interactive tables and inputs that we are continuously improving for screen reader compatibility. SVG charts and infographics in blog posts may not have full text alternatives in all cases.
Feedback & Reporting Issues
If you encounter any accessibility barriers while using Chayaani, please let us know. We take accessibility feedback seriously and will work to address issues promptly. Contact us at hello@chayaani.com with "Accessibility Issue" in the subject line. Please describe the issue and which page or tool is affected, and we will respond within 5 business days.
Continuous Improvement
Accessibility is an ongoing effort. We regularly review our website, test with assistive technologies, and update our tools to improve the experience for all users. For more information, see our Contact page.
